Information on Admissions for the Fall 2021 cohort
Given the evolving situation in the context of the pandemic, the information below about applying to Marianopolis College is subject to change. Any updates will appear on this page.
The College’s application system opens on Wednesday, January 13, 2021. The deadline is March 1, 11:59 p.m. Applications received after this deadline will be considered late and evaluated when all on-time applications have been reviewed.
While the college has its own application system, the Admissions Office receives your grades for Secondary 4 and 5 from SRAM.
According to the Ministry of Education:
- Secondary 4 grades will be calculated with the following weight: 40% for term 1 and 60% for term 2.
- Secondary 5, term 1 grades for the 2020-2021 academic year will be weighted at 50%.
According to SRAM:
- Applicants who consent to having a summary result for the first two semesters of 2019-2020 transmitted to SRAM will be ranked.
- If a student was failing a course at the end of the first two terms of 2019-2020 but successfully completed the course, REU (pass) will appear instead of a grade. Since the REU is a non-numerical grade, it will not be used to calculate the ranking score.
- If not enough grades or credits are received for a student, SRAM will not be able to rank the application.
How this applies to Marianopolis
Since Marianopolis has limited spots in each program, we use the ranking score provided by SRAM as an initial step in the admissions process. If you are attending a high school that does not transmit your grades to SRAM, you will be ranked separately.
In order to ensure that we are able to rank applications for Fall 2021 admissions, all applicants to Marianopolis College who attended a Quebec secondary school are required to provide the following:
- Summary grades of the first two terms for all courses taken during the 2019-2020 academic year (including group averages).
- Term 1 grades for all courses taken during the 2020-2021 academic year (including group averages).
If your school does not transmit grades for 2019-2020 or 2020-2021 to SRAM, you will be required to send us a copy of your report card with term grades for both years at the time of your application.
Incomplete applications will not be ranked and except in exceptional cases, will not be evaluated.
