Applications and Admissions

The first phase of admissions ended on March 1. The online applications system for Fall 2024 remains open until April 20. Make sure to read our step-by-step guide on how to apply.

Those who already applied to the College will receive a response over Omnivox in the coming weeks. If you are admitted, we encourage you to confirm your acceptance as soon as possible to ensure your spot at the College. Instructions on how to confirm your acceptance will be available in Omnivox.

Step 1: Do your research

Research your program of interest to make an informed decision. Review our entrance requirements for a quick summary of the program prerequisites or consult our frequently asked questions page for any other question. Remember, you can choose a first-choice and a second-choice program. We recommend the following:

  • For your first-choice program, always choose one with a higher entrance requirement than your second-choice program.
  • Don't apply to two profiles or concentrations within the same program that have the same entrance requirements.
  • If applying to Music or a Double DEC with Music, indicate it as your first-choice program because of the audition process.
Step 2: Fill out your application

Apply online via the Omnivox portal. Find out which documents to upload along with your application, but please do not upload letters of recommendation, awards or certificates. Pay the application fee and jot down your seven-digit student application number (243-XXXX) that you will get once you complete your application. You will need it later, so don't forget!

The application deadline is March 1 for the Fall semester and November 1 for the Winter semester (Quebec students and transfer students only). Late applications received after 11:59 p.m. on the deadline date will be considered only after all on-time applications have been reviewed, and only if space is still available at the College.

Step 3: Review bursary, financial aid and scholarship opportunities

Marianopolis College's financial support to students is one of the most generous in the college network. Find out more about government loans and bursaries (Aide financière aux études, or AFE for short), Marianopolis tuition credits and book credits based on financial need and Marianopolis scholarships based on merit.

Step 4: Check your admission status

Keep an eye on your email to see if we have communicated with you regarding missing documents or to give you more information. Check the status of your application via the Omnivox portal. If your file has been evaluated, you will see the decision. If it has not yet been evaluated, it will say "in progress." The College evaluates each application individually, carefully considering:

  • Overall average of both final Secondary IV results and Secondary V term 1 and term 2 results
  • Performance in each program-related and/or prerequisite course
  • Performance in each required English and/or French course

Admissions decisions are posted daily as of mid-March and into April. Acceptance is conditional until you graduate from high school, and have successfully completed all entrance requirements and applicable program prerequisites. 

Step 5: Submit your French proficiency test, if required

You must write a French language proficiency test if:

  • You are completing your high school studies outside of Quebec
  • You attend an English high school in Quebec but do not have a Certificate of Eligibility (CoE)
  • You attend an English high school in Quebec and are applying to the Arts and Sciences program

Your French language proficiency test results should be submitted by June 1. See our entrance requirements for details on which tests are accepted.

Step 6: Confirm your spot

If you have been accepted, congratulations! Your acceptance letter will soon be available in Omnivox. This will include a deadline to confirm that you will be attending the College. To do this, set up your Omnivox account by clicking “First use?” (under the login button). Have your student application number and permanent code on hand. Under “Confirmation for new and returning students,” confirm your attendance and pay the confirmation fee. Don’t miss your deadline, as your spot may be given to another student.
