With the March 1 application deadline around the corner, we want to remind you of a few facts that demonstrate why Marianopolis lays claim to a century-old track record of peerless educational excellence.
We graduate our students on time at a rate no other school can touch: for example, 70 percent of our students graduated on time from their initial program vs. 31 percent across the pre-university network in 2017, the most recent year for which the government has released statistics. But graduation rate is just one dimension of student success:
- Our students consistently have the highest R-Scores in the province. When the Marianopolis Class of 2019 applied to university, two thirds had an R-Score above 30 and a fourth had an R-Score above 34.
- Students with the same incoming high school average do better at Marianopolis than they do at other colleges. Statistics show that this is the case whether they studied at a French or English high school.
- Our students pass all their first-semester courses at a higher rate than their peers, 82 percent vs 60 percent in 2017.
- Eighty-two percent of our students attend their first-choice university, the majority in their first-choice program. More of our students are admitted to Montreal’s most competitive university programs (medicine, dentistry, law, engineering) than all students from other schools combined. Many of our students are admitted to the Ivy League and the top universities in Canada and Europe each year.
